About Me
I’m Farhat Siddiqui, an experienced educator, private school leader, and mother of three.
For over 35 years, I’ve walked alongside teachers, administrators, and parents with one intention: to help shape educational spaces that reflect the mercy, justice, and excellence taught in the Qur’an and modeled in the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Whether I’m delivering a training or writing a curriculum, my work is rooted in the belief that every child is an amanah (trust) and that those who guide them must do so with ihsan (excellence) and taqwa (God-consciousness).

Farhat obtained her B.A. degree in Elementary Education and subsequently her M.Ed. degree from Loyola University, Chicago, specializing in school leadership and administration. She is a certified Kg–12th grade principal and holds an Illinois Principal’s License.
Farhat is committed to the advancement of educational institutions to provide success for students. She was previously certified to serve on accreditation teams for AdvancED (NCA Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement), which is now known as Cognia. She has served as a committee member for school site visits for accreditation through AdvancED and FCIS (Florida Council of Independent Schools).
She is an educational speaker and trainer for the Illinois State Board of Education and conducts professional development training for staff, as well as mentoring and coaching for school leaders. She has been invited to speak both nationally and internationally on topics including strategic planning, school improvement practices, professional development for teachers, and various other educational subjects.
Farhat served nearly a decade as a board member for the ISNA National Educational Forum, held annually in Chicago. She was also a board member of CISNA (Council of Islamic Schools of North America) for several years. She is the Co-Founder of the Board for CIS (Council of Islamic Schools of Illinois) and a former board member of Northwest Suburban College. She has also served on the board of CIOGC (The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago) and currently serves on its Education Committee.
Farhat worked as a classroom teacher for nearly a decade at one of the largest Islamic schools in the United States—Universal School—where she was awarded the highest recognition, “Teacher of the Year,” for her commitment to excellence in education. She later served as a lead administrator, Assistant Principal, and eventually Principal until 2009. During her tenure, she was recognized for streamlining school functions and raising academic standards, earning accreditation with AdvancED. She received service awards in 2004 and 2009 for her dedication to best practices. In June 2005, Universal School was featured in TIME magazine as “The Model School, Islamic Style.”
From 2009 to 2013, Farhat served as Principal of the College Preparatory School of America (CPSA), where she and her team raised student achievement scores. In 2013, CPSA was recognized by The Washington Post as the most academically challenging school in Illinois. This recognition is largely due to the systemized management approach established under Farhat’s leadership.
Since 2013, Farhat has continued to serve as a consultant for various schools across the U.S., supporting leadership mentorship, accreditation efforts, and more. In 2016, she was appointed Head of School at American Youth Academy, where she served until 2020. During her tenure, she increased enrollment from 535 to 645 students, established the IB program, and organized a fundraising initiative that raised nearly $1,000,000 for school expansion.
Farhat continues to serve as a lead educational consultant for Islamic Schools across the United States.
